Formal Oil Portrait for a 60th Anniversary is “Gift of a Lifetime”

The newsletter that I sent out lastFormal oil portrait is “Gift of a Lifetime” for couple’s 60th Anniversary time elicited a reply that was so precious I had to share it. First the backstory: Larry wanted me to paint a present for his wife on their 60th anniversary using the photo he sent me taken on their 50th. He was so very gracious that I particularly enjoyed the painting time that I “spent” with him and his wife on my canvas. When he presented the finished formal oil portrait he emailed me pictures of the event with his surprised wife and children there along with a heartwarming success story which he titled “Gift of a Lifetime”. Here’s that precious reply from Larry that I mentioned above:

“Hi, Just wondering why you never featured that cute couple who recently celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary with a lifetime painting from the world renown painter Jessica Rockwell? Jessica was really able to capture this couple from a photo sent to her and made them so lifelike. It’s thrilling to enjoy her work now every day!
Sincerely, Larry & Lynnette”

Of course I had to feature their portrait in the following newsletter as well as here in my blog.
