Oil Painting of My Granddaughter is Beach Time Sweetness

When a grandmother asked me to make “an oil oil painting of my granddaughter with long hair standing on the beachpainting of my granddaughter”, this was the second of six oil portraits I did for her. As I said in my previous post concerning the first grandchild, she also had me paint a full copy of it for the child’s parents. When it was done she came to my studio to pick it up. I gave her my usual “ta-daaaa” unveiling and she said:

“Cute! I love it. It looks great. I love it as much as Jack’s. Looks just like her. Background great—on the beach. Perfect little eyebrows, eyes. How do you do it? You are so talented.”

Then we sent the duplicate painting to her children and the mother told me:

“When my husband and I looked at the painting, we felt as though MacKenzie was standing right in front of us. The portrait captures her so well, from her bright, shining eyes right down to the way she is holding her precious little hands. We both had tears in our eyes. It’s perfect! Thanks!”
