Two oil portraits children: a little girl of 4 and her brother at 6. They are each sitting on a moulded Greek column type stool against a background of forest greenery.

The mother of a son and daughter, ages 6 and 4, ordered two companion oil paintings of their children to surprise her husband. I was delighted because I love to portray children at these ages. She said she wanted a "greenery" background.

When I was done she remarked that she knew that I would get her son's sweetness because that's the way that he is all the time, but she somehow thought it would be harder for me to capture her little girl's sparkle. … but she said I nailed that too!
