Original Oil Portraits: Stefan and Sarah—Additional Note

Although I have posted these original oil

portraits before, I just came across the note that their mother sent me, which I thought you might find interesting. To recap: I painted both siblings at the same time as a surprise give to my client’s husband. We photographed them in our studio and I added the background later. “My husband was totally surprised and loves the portraits. They are so beautiful to look at each day. We always said we love them at this age and wish we could keep them forever at 4 and 6—and now we can. I told girl friends how nervous I was and then how they turned out so wonderfully. They look very dramatic in my house.
