Video of 6 Twins Oil Portraits

Twins Oil Portraits are such a happy subject to make a video about. Photography sessions with them are uniquely fun. When you look at the video, you'll see what I mean. It’s a special thing. No wonder parents love to capture that beautiful shared youth in oil paintings. I’ve had the pleasure to paint at least 11 sets of twins so far. (I keep having the feeling there are more that have been overlooked in the hundreds of custom oil portraits I have painted.) One thing I have noticed about portraying identical twins is that when they are moving around you can’t tell them apart. Then you freeze frame them in a photo and the more you look, the more obvious their differences become. When I painted my first set of twins I thought it was a problem that they looked too different so I worked to get them more similar. LOL! The mother saw immediately that I had painted 2 of one of the twins and explained to me how different they actually were. I had taken a few in-progress photos so I could show her I hadn’t not seen their individualities myself, I just had a fixed idea that needed to be changed for all the future twins I would paint! These 6 twins oil portraits that are shown in the video cover ages from 3 to 27. They also include both twins in the same portraits and those in separate portraits. These latter ones were hung together and will make it possible that each twin will inherit his own painting and leave it to his heirs. Let me know if you have twins to portrait!
